[ubuntu-za] Quantal bugs

Hi Wikus, many thanks. You hit the nail on it's head!

I found this site
http://www.howopensource.com/2012/10/w-duplicate-sources-list-entry-ubuntu-12-10-12-04/
then deleted the duplicates, installed ext pack and ran the rest of the
commands and Vbox is up and running. Hooray and praise to our King!

What gets met about these upgrades is that I don't know when to install
software from the repositories and when to use the software centre or
synaptic.

Up to now I have been under the impression that it is bad news to go
beyond the Ubuntu software resources, but I received advice that these
repositories are not up to scratch for Vbox when my Vbox did not work
first time.

Kind regards,

Jan
