Fortunately there are some clever people around. I see that there is a
Sun Java installer available in a PPA. Ubuntu is not allowed to put
Sun Java in the Repos, but you can create an installer that downloads
it from the Oracle site and installs it for you. Problem solved. It
think the same is done with the Adobe Flash installer.
