[ubuntu-za] Notes tab on file properties

as far as I can venture to guess, Gnome used to store these notes within
it's config path in a xml file, .gnome2/ or .config/ or similar. I can't
say exactly at this time, but a search should help with the details. see
if you can find these, maybe migrate them into a photo collection manager
like Johan said.
