[ubuntu-za] Home backup solution (suggestions)

+1 backuppc
Configure it through a simple web interface.  It compresses data and
performs de-duplication across all machines.  No client software
required to install, everything is configured on the BackupPC server.

There are also off-the-shelf / in-a-box solutions available such as:
