Hi Helge

I feel vindicated as I was told this is how you upgrade Ubuntu from the Alternate CD
However the Alternate CD did not give me this option and I see the workstation now has this option , that's good news

Anyway that's now water under the bridge
I have now completed instaling all the apps I had before I wiped out my Ubuntu

I have also learned a trick , login using Classic option and create all the launchers you want on the desktop
when you login using Unity the launchers will be on the desktop then you drag them into the new launcher

This is the easiest way to do this

regards
Nick
