Having ran both debian and ubuntu on my powerbook G4, I too pulled a few
hairs because they dont behave the same (but I should've known that :P) I
recently opted to go 100% ubuntu as it runs smoother (from a user's
experience) + the hardware works out-of-the-box (thus, less google searches
= less headaches = more productive work done). I must still take the great
leap (upgrade) from 09.04 -> 11.04. I had a not-so-good experience with 10.x
releases.
