Hi Lee. I've deleted all partitions using gparted & created a new
partition formatting it to ext4. Tried to install 10.10 but got the same
initrmfs error message.10.10 doesn't even get to the stage of allowing
me to use a command line. Unfortunately, I can't use Miles suggestion
of using a windows install and then ubuntu, as I've been an ubuntu only
user since 8.04 and am reluctant to go out & buy windows when I have no
use for it other than to sort out this problem.
I've wiped disks in the past and haven't experienced this before. Any
other suggestions to possibly sort this out?
