[ubuntu-za] DRM and software licensing (was Brainstorm on ideas to get Ubuntu to areas without internet)

* I knew about mint, but it would be nicer if the stock ubuntu cd can
somehow include this. They can prompt you to pay if you are in a
country that requires it if they have to.
I have been called before by someone who wanted to get media playback
working on a freshly installed ubuntu, and that box was not near the
internet.
(I did suggest mint at that point)

* "...South Africa, where Software Patents aren't recognised"
  is a there some reference for this?
  I have heard that before but I'm also not a liar:) so it will be
nice to have a place to point people to.
