[ubuntu-za] Plymouth changed after installing nvidia drivers

Hi Everyone

Im not sure if this has been discussed before in another thread here but
couldnt find anything. Apologies if it has.

I installed Ubuntu 10.04 yesterday after a long period in Jaunty (9.04).
The install when smoothly, but after I enabled the restricted Nvidia drivers
and rebooted my plymouth (boot splash) resolution is terrible.
I have read quite a bit about this on google and the ubuntu forums, and
ended up using the graphical solution as posted here:

http://news.softpedia.com/news/How-to-Fix-the-Big-and-Ugly-Plymouth-Logo-in-Ubuntu-10-04-140810.shtml

My question is if this is the best method to workaround this issue, or if
there are any better methods and if an update is planned to fix this problem
anytime soon?

Thanks again

Cheers

Josh
