Hi William, 

Thanks for the suggestion. I had thought of that, but the fact that we
can open the embedded object on a different PC, without any possible
access to an external version of the embedded file rules this out. It
would seem, both from this fact, and the fact of the file size, that the
files (.tif or pdf mostly) are "physically" embedded in the spreadsheet.
