If you do manage to extract a tiff file, see if you can convert it to
something you can read using this:

The simplest solution would be to ask the people sending the file just
to send their image, whatever it is, instead of pointlessly wrapping
it in a fake tiff and embedding it in an excel file.  But I realise
that may not be possible.
