I stick to a distro for a year or more, and do a full reinstall when
upgrading.
My last upgrade I split the partitions up, so future upgrades will be much
easier too.
I also push for upgrades when I really need specific support, for video
drivers say. Sometimes I find it hard keeping up with all the Ubuntu
releases too ;)
