Hi, as can be seen, you guys take ages to respond! (sorry, battery dies on this laptop)
Thanks, once I burned disk using an iso burner IT WORKED!
Now, am struggling to get mail & internet running. Updates for Ubuntu & a dictionary sucessfully downloaded. Any advice?
    Thanks - Paul.

        Hi

We have a time traveler on the mailing list! ;)

On another pc, looking at the portable disc (sorry, not removeable) All files appear to be there together with an wubi.exe. I thought that Ubuntu does not have .exe files?

wubi.exe IS a Windows application, its used as a Windows installer to run Ubuntu and Win side-by-side - http://wubi-installer.org

If you run wubi.exe in Windows, it will give you a setup through which you can install Ubuntu! Read through the wubi site to see what it's about, and if that's what you were looking for.
