Hi everyone
I am looking to replace my current old nvidia graphics card (Nvidia 7600 gs)
on my desktop. The old card has always run fine with no driver problems etc.
hence I am keen to stick with Nvidia.
I am running Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid 64 bit and am currently using the nvidia
current driver - 195.36.24 (installed from System / Administration /
Hardware drivers)
First question is really more for some advice on a decent new card - I have
been looking in the range of Nvidia GTS 250 (probably an asus card). Is this
a decent enough upgrade, or any good cards i can look out for?
I would like to be able to play HD content with the card in MythTV.
The second question is if I get a new card can I simply swap the old one out
and the new one in, and carry on using the Nvidia current drivers, or is
there anything special I need to do.
Thanks again!
Cheers
Josh
