Hi
I would guess if this kiosk is going to be uses for movies only you
would create a specific Linux re-spin if one does not already exist
(have not Google around myself).
Personally I have found that Slax is very easy to modify for a quick
and dirty solution. You might also want to look at the Debian live
project that has some excellent documentation.
The rest would just require some clever scripting as highlighted by
others on the list.
