[ubuntu-za] sftp with Quanta Plus

Hi Guys

Has anybody tried to use sftp with Quanta Plus to upload a web site in
9.04 (Jaunty).  I still had it working with 8.04 (Hardy) but just
barely.  Apparently it has been removed since 8.10 (Intrepid).  It is
supposed to be a kio-slave interface which is not supported anymore.

I've seen it suggested that sshfs is used to link the remote server to
your local file system and transfer it with the "file" option
(kio-slave).  This is however a bit of cumbersome process.  Standard ftp
is also an option as Quanta supports this, but I would rather not go
unsecure.

Does anyone have another idea?
