Hi All

Anybody here in Pietermaritzburg that is able to hand-hold 5 schools for
2009. We installed the labs in Feb 2008, trained and certified the
educators. They meet monthly to discuss new ideas and issues. We are
unable to travel to Pmz as frequent as 2008.

Each school have 20 terminals running from a single ubuntu ltsp.org
server with apache for web content share eg. wikipedia for schools. We
donated printers as an incentive and certified over 200 learners in
December with My Ingots Bronze level 1

Scope of work:
- install hard drives just updated with new image
- meet with coordinators
- join cluster meeting once in a while
- respond to technical requirements
- general advocacy, education and support

Opportunity: explore a monthly SLA with the cluster of schools

This is also open to mailing list discussion on how to best support
schools with open source software labs in:
Cape - 78
PE - 48
NCape - 10
Limpopo - 11
KZN - 7
NWest - 3 plus 70+ deployed by the DoE
Mpumalanga - 1

Should you know of any other pls add to the numbers by adding + XXX

Looking forward to your response.
