[ubuntu-za] moving thunderbird linux to windows

well... a few weeks ago, i sent an email, asking about migrating
thunderbird from linux to windows for a friend of mine.... and got a few
ideas...

i located the profile folder in linux, located in .thunderbird or something

and located the profile folder in windows....

what i did, was i copied the folder inside the profile folder, and pasted
it inside the profile folder in windows... tried running thunderbird and
nothing happened...

tried copying the contents of the profile folder and pasting them inside
an already existing profile folder in windows... runned thunderbird and
nothing happened aswell..

what could i be doing wrong?
