I deleted the contents of /var/lib/apt/cdrom.list and then tried the
following.
phillip at phillip-desktop:~$ apt-cdrom add -d /media/cdrom0
Using CD-ROM mount point /media/cdrom0/
Unmounting CD-ROM
Waiting for disc...
Please insert a Disc in the drive and press enter
Mounting CD-ROM...
E: Failed to mount the cdrom.
phillip at phillip-desktop:~$
Have I used the correct apt-cdrom command?
By the way I am using a live Ubuntu 8.04 DVD and not a CD. Should /
will this make a difference?
