Welcome Charl and since we into introductions.

Some of you might know who I am or our paths might have crossed at some
Geekdinner.

I am probably one of the few lucky ones that can use Ubuntu as my daily work
environment in a massive big global organisation. At last count about 40000
of us around the would use some form of Linux for a workstation.
Unfortunately the other 360000 still uses Windows but we have an internal
policy/strategy to have migrated mostly to some Linux (Red Hat, Fedora,
Unbuntu, Debian or Suse/OpenSuse) by the end of 2011.

Must say it is sometimes very different using Ubuntu at home for personal
use than in a global work environment where one have to interact with
different people using different technologies and standards. This debate
between ODF document and Windows based documents :)
