[ubuntu-za] Preparing for Hardy

As I prepare for my hardy install (I have decided to install from scratch
this time round and not to update) I need to back up my home directory (I
think that i can manage that with tar unless there are better suggestions)
and also some other bits and pieces. Right now I can think of: Open Office
dictionary, Evolution archives and Contacts. It is not obvious to me where I
find these - are they just in the hidden ".evolution" and ".openoffice.org2"
folders?

Besides these is there anything else that I am forgetting? I am not too
concerned about configuration files as I can always do them from scratch - I
think!
