Hmmm, okay. Once I did an upgrade from Fedora Core 4 to Fedora Core 5 on my 
old Fujitsu Siemens laptop and it took well over a day. I suspect that when 
you upgrade, the installer needs to do a lot of 
dependency/compatibility/other checks - especially when skipping a version.

During my Fedora upgrade it did nothing for hours at a time, but there was 
still disk activity so I just left it, and in the end it worked....but hey, 
I'm a really patient person so I don't mind waiting :)
