Thanks for the trouble.Did a sudo pppoeconf ; at the username and
password prompts typed the username and password that I use in XP ; A
subsequent plog command shows 'couldnt connect due incorrect username
.....'.
ISP site in its instructions for Configuring DSL modems gives a
different username and password: tried these but to no avail.
What now?
I am mailing ISP to clarify what username etc has to used from linux.
Incidentally in the CD accompanying the ADSL modem Linux Packages are
there but it seems they are suitable for Red-Hat. Would they be of any
help? I am using a Live CD and have only one CD-R/RW Drive.
Any help please?
