[ubuntu-x] evdev driver and symlinks

Hi All,
 
I thought there was already a bug on this, but I can't find it. The issue I'm talking about is if you configure a pointing device and use evdev as the driver, and the device entry points to a symlink under /dev/input/by-id, the device is not found. I believe this actually works with for other protocols/drivers. Anyone know about this already, or do I need to go ahead an file a bug?
