Hi all,
I have tested it with Hardy and i915 chipset.
The driver works fine but there are two problems.
The scrolling with Compiz seems to be as slow as before using greedy and
textured video is still not ready imho. It has improved a little bit
especially in full screen but it looks slower and there are often
stripes through the moving zones which makes watching very
uncomfortable. Another very annoying thing with textured video is the
lag if you maximize or minimize or activate right mouse button menu. It
is even hard to close VLC since it reacts very slow. Worst case scenario
is Totem in full screen. If you move the mouse two bars appears which
results in huge lags and you nearly can't see them.
I still don't understand why upstream isn't more conservative with this.
I guess it is the best to make Overlay first choice but with an
xorg.conf option or something like that to use Textured instead. There
was an option afaik but it seems to be ignored.
