I've verified backported packages from Jaunty build nicely in Intrepid,
and checked they work for the amd64 version.
I've opened a backport request at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/intrepid-backports/+bug/309531 and attached
the packages for i386 and amd64, hopefully when there'll be more success
reports they can be included in the backport repository.
