You sure did read the page https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive
before installing packages from it, especially the section "Warning",
and in particular checked the page again when you experienced trouble?

Second hint, look straight for the "EE" (= error) markers when looking
through Xorg.0.log...
