But if you look at his Xorg.0.log, it seemed to be trying to boot vesa
instead of fbdev in this case. So it would be worth using this
xorg.conf (or at least specifying fbdev as the driver) against Hardy.

Perhaps some PS3 stuff got dropped during the dexconf cleanup work?
