I'm just off to read the minutes, but I'd firstly like to send my
apologies for not attending this meeting.

I'd planned to be online, but the washing machine sprung a leak, tripped
the house electrics, and ruined the kitchen floor.   What a day.

Hopefully next month's meeting won't be marred by household appliance
disasters.
