There are a few Linux groups in the area that I'm involved with and
are very much worth checking out if you're interested:

Philadelphia Area Linux Users Group: http://www.phillylinux.org
The first two are probably of most interest, the Ubuntu team is very
active with non-profits and such in the area (and we're very very
welcoming to women!). The PhillyChix chapter should be getting
together for a meeting soon, and on the agenda is discussing projects
like Ubuntu Women.
