Hello all :)
This is something I would like to address in our next IRC meeting,
Saturday, April 14th, 2007, at 19:00 UTC (little reminder, BTW ;)).
I know little of you, subscribed to this mailing list and active within
ubuntu-women project, use the ubuntu-women sub-forum on ubuntuforums:
http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=76
If you browse through it, you will see that the main question addressed
there is "why a women forum and no men forum, I want my toy too". This
sub-forum is not used by women seeking support, but more like some kind
of brainstorming place about women in ubuntu community, and in FOSS or
Science in general.
It sort of lives by itself, need moderation as useless posts and threads
are created there on a regular basis, and I am not sure real projects
emerge from there.
Would you have any ideas on how to use this wonderful resource in a
better way ?
We've been relaying events and schedules there, discussing some
interesting issues. Still, I feel it is largely unused. I need ideas
here :)
Thanks for your time, cheers,
Isabelle
