First of all, we really must have reached the point where it is no
longer technically feasible to build even more densely packed
processors. We are certainly close to that point. However, when this
point is reached, certain structures in these processors will still be
changed and the instruction sets adapted to the requirements of the
times. In our lifetime, I do not yet see this development that you are
predicting.
