How to get a more recent subversion onto Ubuntu 20.04 server?

My Ubuntu 20.04 LTS *server* seems to be stuck to an older subversion version:

$ apt policy subversion
subversion:
  Installed: 1.13.0-3ubuntu0.2
  Candidate: 1.13.0-3ubuntu0.2

I cannot upgrade it just yet to a later Ubuntu version so my question is this:

Can I somehow modify some apt setting such that it can grab subversion 1.14
instead?

If so how do I go about it?

On my 22.04 desktop I see this:

$ apt policy subversion
subversion:
  Installed: 1.14.1-3ubuntu0.22.04.1
  Candidate: 1.14.1-3ubuntu0.22.04.1

So that is where I want to get to....
