I have used TigerVNC a lot on my PC based (Ubuntu) Linux machines up until
20.04.
Had I known that a working VNC server would be hosed if I upgraded the distro to
22.04 then I would not have upgraded. :(

TigerVNC worked well with the RealVNC Client app on Windows_10 and since
TigerVNC is maintained by the Ubuntu developers I thought it to be safe to
upgrade. Not so...

What can I do now?

I found this:

$ apt policy x11vnc
x11vnc:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 0.9.16-8

But

$ apt policy realvnc
N: Unable to locate package realvnc

What is the package name for realvnc server?

And can x11vnc work with the RealVNC Client on Windows?
