Hi,

since I don't know how to help, a question out of pure curiosity.

Should this read "Ctrl+Alt+F[num]"?

In my limited experiences with usage of window managers, without using a
desktop environment, I almost always, if not always need{,ed} to set up
this shortcut myself.

I know that this is a Xfce4 or at least a Xubuntu default (and probably
also an Unity default), but I doubt that it's a default, if you
"manually run a window manager, such as" foo or bar. At least it isn't
for openbox.

   $ grep C-A-t .config/openbox/rc.xml -A4
       <keybind key="C-A-t">
         <action name="Execute">
           <command>roxterm --maximize --tab</command>
         </action>
       </keybind>

Ralf
