( top posting due to browser and nature of response to clarify original post )

The phone in question works just fine for internet access if I plug its USB
cable into my ubuntu machine. The phone does not work
with the tp-link router because there is no setup option on the router
for consumer cellular but the router has a manual mode. I wanted the
Ubuntu code to copy to get the values to manually setup the router.

In related new, I used the repo arduino IDE to download to this thing,

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D8KOZF4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

although I have yet to verify I can use any analog input...

Thanks.

I have a consumer cellular phone that seems to work when I plug

that requires user input to select a carrier for the USB WAN. It does
have a manual mode but no option for consumer cellular. I was going to
try to dig the info out of the ubunty drivers. Any idea where to start
downloading source code?

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

Not sure exactly what you're trying to do but it sounds to me like you're looking at the problem from the wrong side. You've bought a router with a USB WAN so you need to configure the router. Your Ubuntu device should "just work" like any other LAN device once you have the router properly configured.

Jared
