term - dir colors -- basic

Hey..

curious.

diff sites discuss changing ls text/file/dir colors.

most sites use the -- di=0;34;
 which would be blue on white..

however, when i do a search of the /root  -- for "di"
 I don't find this..

in the .dir_colors i do find
 DIR 01;34 # directory
 which seems to say blue on green background..

is DIR the same as ".di" <<<

this of course is ubuntu
