command line tools for Asus router etc ?

I recently bought a new router, an Asus that says "wigi6" on it.
I set it up as an access point ( or actually a repeater
that let's me connect to existing ESSID via wired connection )
since it has a nice antenna
and picks up a lot of networks I probably can't see when I put
a mini computer in a metal box. However, all the configuration
appears to be through the browser. I wanted to do things
like list all available networks etc" The network manager
command line tool for example does a lot of this for local
interfaces but not sure there is anyway to talk to the router.
Thanks.
