Perhaps Network Attached Storage HDDs are more often used than HDDs in
an USB enclosure.
I'm in favour of enclosures that offer eSATA and USB3, but I usually use
the much faster USB3, but if for some reason USB doesn't work but a
backup is urgently needed, eSATA can be useful. However, if the
enclosures that I prefer due to firmware did not have eSATA, I would
still buy and use them, because I don't think eSATA is really important.
