When I check php:

$ apt policy php
php:
  Installed: 2:8.3+93ubuntu2
  Candidate: 2:8.3+93ubuntu2

So I have 8.3...

Does Apache *require* an older version of php on Ubuntu 24.04.1???

In such cases what do people do about it?
Surely Apache cannot have been abandoned in Ubuntu?
