Delay in shutdown

I am using Ubuntu 20.4.6 on a Lenovo 15.   When I click on Power Off or Log
Out the screen freezes for about 30 seconds before proceeding normally.

In the logs I see "gkr-pam unable to locate daemon control file"  Does this
message have anything to do with it?  Or is something else involved, and if
so, what might it be?
