I am seeing an issue with Chrome too this morning.  Basic screen layout for
pages appears, but most of the contents are missing.  Even the Developer
Tools and Settings page don't work.
Googling for the errors shown in syslog identified this to be the problem:

The fix is to remove the folder ~/.config/google-chrome/Default/GPUCache
