Many laptops have special buttons to enable and disable functions (on the
edges or above the keyboard or special keys on the keyboard). I have an old
laptop that was VERY prone to accidentally turning off WiFi, Bluetooth and
other functions depending on how you picked it up or fumble-fingered a key.
Fortunately that laptop included some status lights above the keyboard I
trained myself to look at to see if I had accidentally turned off something.
