Whilst both are completely off-topic for the list, both firearms (and
any otherwise ballistic weapon - I know this from years of archery, in
addition to firearms training), and motor vehicles, are equally lethal
weapons, and, both should be subjected to the same degree of regulation
in the licensing of the owners and users.
Here in Australia, if a person wants to kill someone else, and does it,
if the killer uses a motor vehicle as the weapon, if caught and
convicted, the penalties are trivial, and it is not even treated as an
unlawful killing.
Unfortunately, in some countries (not referring to Australia), where
killing people is the national pastime and primary recreational
activity, people can buy any kind of ballistic weapon, without any
worthwhile regulation, to encourage the recreational activity of killing
people.
