At work we usually wait for the first point release before upgrading major
LTS-versions. Ie when 22.04 was released, we waited for 22.04.1 before we
got things started.
My server farm (lab) at home I waited maybe a few months after the 22.04-
release before upgrading.
At home I was mostly interested in getting my WFH-desktop computer upgraded
with a new DE, as the 22.04 KDE was reported to be so much better and
snappier.
On the server-side I upgraded non-critical first with 22.04, waited,
upgraded some more, waited and so on.
Some servers at work are critical and depend on certain LTS-versions and
more importantly certain libraries, so those may need some inner code
tweakings before upgrades happen.
These are usually db or web servers - special cases in other words.
You may find some performance enhancements going from 20.04 to 22.04. We did
anyway. That alone might warrant an upgrade for you maybe?
HTH.
