Hello,

This NUC-i3 computer is based off of an Intel i3, an entry level point cpu,
correct?

My experience is that low-powered cpus can rarely keep up with saturating a
gigabit network interface (NIC). In fact, what I've seen during the years is
that the more powerful a cpu is, the more it can help throughput to the NIC.

What you see with your NUC is most probably the max performance network-wise
it can achieve.

As usual, YMMV.
