Hi,

under the hood Windows 11 more or less still is Windows 10. You can
probably not update Windows 10 to Windows 11, but a new install most
likely is possible.

I'm running a Windows 11 guest in Virtualbox on an Arch Linux host. See my message at
https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/arch-general@lists.archlinux.org/message/7TRDINOW6NBPT4VSRLWDNR4GRVVMFARF/ .
This should also work to install Windows 11 on bare metal. Ignore the
Virtualbox related hints, just follow the Windows 11 related
instructions.

Running Windows 11 on Virtualbox 7+ is tricky and sometimes even
impossible. I build my own Arch Linux Virtualbox 6.1+ packages to run
Windows 11. Upstream does support Virtualbox 6.1 until the end of this
year. However, to maintain your own packages requires to fix the build
every now and then, hence some skills are needed.

I successfully run some apps in wine, too.

If you need a Windows 11 install on bare metal, consider to try the the
"BypassTPMCheck" and "BypassSecureBootCheck" of Windows 11. It works
without any side effects for a virtual machine.

Those bypass options are provided by the official Microsoft installer.

Regards,
Ralf
