Network Accessible Hard Drive

Good evening,

  I am needing an network accessible or external drive to use as a 
backup for my systems. I am considering a WD 2TB Midnight Blue.

I need it ONLY as a backup for my computers (3), all running Ubuntu 
22.04. I would use it weekly and run the installed standard backup 
software manually. Is there a problem with this approach? Is there a 
reason not to use NTFS, all my systems ONLY have Ubuntu installed?
