My kingdom for a permanent machine name !!!

Greetings all;

Back with the same old problem, lack of network outside of the host file
contents.

But the reason this time is even odder.

Scenario: I have added another rock64 to my local network, making 2 of
them. Both running armbian jammy.
Serving as the octoprint host for a pair of 3d printers.

One, which I gave a local address ending in .22, and left its hostname
at the default of rock64,
and the newly added one which I put at .8 on my local net.
And I named the 2nd one rock64v2.domainname.

But something keeps changing the hostname back to the installs default
of just rock64. And null-ing
the domain name at the same time.

So how do I change its hostname permanently?

Whatever it is that is changing the hostname is also null-ing out the
domain name.

That is /not/ nice.

Thanks all.

Cheers, Gene Heskett.
