I moved this topic to the off-topic list,

mailing list discussion should continue there and/or for the next 7 days
at the GNOME mailing lists. It's off-topic for this list. I only wanted
to inform the users of this list, since GNOME is the default DE for
Ubuntu and a lot of users might not have noticed that GNOME moves from
mailing lists to a forum that suffers from gamification, "an allegedly
populist idea that actually benefits corporate interests over those of
ordinary people" [1].
